We tend to think of the refrigerator as an instrument for preserving food as long as possible. This is valid for most foods. Without the refrigerator, we couldn’t keep in the meat, dairy products, or other kinds of produce. Refrigerators are truly a modern wonder which has revolutionized how families cook.
But as it turns out there are some foods in the refrigerator which actually lose freshness. Chilling food often reduces the flavor or changes the texture.
1.Apples
If you like cold, you can refrigerate your apples but there is no need to. Chilling them in turn helps to break their crispness down.
Apples are a good fruit to give for a few weeks on a table or counter. Anyone that has not been eaten can then be put in the fridge to prolong their life a few more days.
