Vinegar can be stopped if you have an overgrowth of Candida already. It’s true that fermented foods are perfect for restoring good bacteria, but the healthy bacteria in your body are weakened in the case of overgrowth, and your immune system is also weakened. Candida has also been found to feed off fermented foods so it is a little risky to add healthy bacteria while also allowing the yeast to multiply.
To recover the healthy bacteria it is best to destroy the Candida before adding vinegar and other fermented foods.
Alcohol can also be avoided, for similar reasons.
